All Pakistan Teachers' Training Workshop for Master Trainers (July 27th to July 29th, 2010)

Alhamdollilah, by the grace of Allah, Baithak School Network has completed its four days of "All Pakistan Teachers’ Training Workshop for Master Trainers". Despite worst weather conditions and heavy rainfall in the city, around fifty teachers from all over Pakistan attended. The main theme of the workshop was to prepare Master Trainers for the curriculum of KG1 and KGII. After the completion of the four day workshop these trainers are expected to impart their knowledge to the teachers in their respective regions. All the conductors of this workshop were experienced female volunteers. All the participants were awarded certificates on the completion of the seminar. On the last day, a picnic at Sea View was arranged by the management of Baithak School Network, where the participants enjoyed themselves. A visit to the Head Office was also arranged for the attendees so that they may learn about the working of all the sections of the organization.

Flower Show

The 59th Annual Flower Show, organized by the Horticulture Society of Pakistan, was held from March 4th- March 7th, 2010 at a spacious park at Sea view, Karachi. This show was a gathering of different professionals mainly with a background in horticulture, such as, the Bonsai Society of Pakistan, Orchid Society of Pakistan and the Floral Art Society. Exhibits were also organized by educational institutes such as the DHA College and the Baithak School Network.

The Baithak School Network’s theme for its exhibit was Tib-e-Nabvi (or medical tips from the Holy Prophet (PBUH)). The students of various Baithak Schools, under the supervision of their teachers, prepared talks, posters and plant displays related on the topics of dates, honey and herbs (such as garlic and henna). Our booth also offered various fun and learning activities for children of all ages. There were quizzes and drawing competitions where children won prizes. We had a bake sale and offered face painting for youngsters.

This entire project was managed by the SEW promotion department. It was due to the relentless efforts of this team that the judges awarded us the second position (under the category of schools) at this event. The entire Baithak School staff of the Head Office, Karachi, was also enthusiastically involved in this tremendous effort.

The people who attended the Flower Show came from all walks of life. They shared their encouraging remarks with us when they learnt about our organization. Overall, this festival presented great fun and learning experience to Karachiites, who are always longing for outlets where they can relax and enjoy with their families.
